Saturday - August 2, 2008 (1:16pm)

Just got home from a 9 mile bike ride through Burnsville.

Our destination? Anywhere, Burnsville, Minnesota.

Why? Because it's all fine and good doing 10.5 miles around the lake 25 minutes from our house...but it seems a little counter productive to pack up the car, load up the bikes, drive 25 minutes and (don't feel like figuring out how many miles from the house) just to "ride our bikes". How much gas do we use? Wow...more math, we'll save that for sometime later this weekend.

We decided to just go...so, here was our path of choice:

1. House to Dakota county library

2. 40 minutes of leisurely reading and checking out knowledge to go (cheaper and less fattening than McDonalds)

3. Library to Midas to check status of car being serviced (not done yet, still needs to cook a little longer.)

4. Midas to Erik's bike shop to have them check out my bike, there are some loose cables that keep getting stuck on my pedal and my front fender...FYI, going to be taking some maintenance classes at the Bicycle HUB CO-OP in Minneapolis (soon as we can get the funds), we will learn to fix our own steeds if it kills us! Well, lets hope it doesn't kill us, that would surely put a damper on our day!

And finally...

Eriks to home!

9 miles of "me powered greatness"
0 gas burned
1 less car...

...PRICELESS!!
